Earth Changes Under Global Warming

The earth is visibly going through climate changes. Scientists have seen how the earth has warmed up by at least 1 degree Fahrenheit in the last one hundred years. Documented recorded temperatures from the 1880’s onward provide some of these global warming facts. The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change states that temperatures have been hotter these past eleven years with 2005 being the hottest year on record. Actually, these last twenty years has been the hottest known years in the last 400 years of the earth’s climate history.

Man And Environment

Man and environment have been working against each other for years. Since the beginning of humanity, man stepped out into the world and changed it. Every time a tree branch is broken or an animal is killed, there is a lasting effect on the world. While in moderation there is no reason for alarm, in fact, these can be beneficial, on a large scale, there is devastation to worry about. Finding the balance between man and environment is difficult. Man is continuously looking for ways to improve its lifestyle while the environment struggles to keep up. Locally, people can do significant things to save the environment. What is your environment like now compared to what it was like ten, twenty or more years ago? In most American cities, the difference will be significant. Cities have grown with more people, which mean more natural habitats for animals will be taken over by streets. More factories may have come in, taking over the abundance of space with pollution causing machines. There are more cars on the streets and more litter as well. Therefore, as you can see, there are likely many things that can be done on a local level to save environment problems from overtaking the communities you know and love.

Discussions about the climate crisis most often focus on greenhouse gas emissions, polar ice caps melting, temperature changes, sea levels rising, famines and droughts. We must not neglect to look at humans that will be affected by global warming in terms of the virus explosion it will perpetuate.
