Wildlife Preservation And Ecology

As more people populate the earth, ecology, wildlife and issues with sprawl arise. As more land is developed into residential and business districts wildlife is pushed out of the way. Their very existence becomes threatened. For wild animals to coexist with the threat of human progress, conservationists with ecology concerned will have to be in place. Urban development will have to develop programs that will protect the wildlife and their environment.

Airtight Ecosystem Experiment

An ecosystem is simply a group of plants and animals that reside in the same area and are dependent upon each other for survival. There are many different types of ecosystems in the world including deserts, forests, prairies, rivers, oceans, swamps, and marshes. All of the various ecosystems are interdependent upon each other. That means that if something affects one ecosystem negatively it will affect the other ecosystems as well. Inside an ecosystem all the plants are animals are interdependent upon each other for survival. Learning about the ecosystem can be fun and exciting. Here is a great experiment and project that will help to demonstrate what a balanced ecosystem looks like.

Panda Ecosystem

Panda Bears can be found in the Southwest China provinces of Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan and on the east side of the Tibetan plateau. They also make their homes in the temperate forests of the Upper Yangtze. The Panda Bear is known for its cute and adorable features. They have white fur coats with black fur around their eyes and on their ears, noses, legs and shoulders. Panda Bears are peaceful creatures who spend their days eating bamboo. They have opposable thumbs that make eating bamboo easy for them.

Ecosystems Of Organisms

When one ponders the question of whom we are and where did we come from? There are a kettle of answers and some even stir up heated debates, but the truth comes down to that we are a network of ecosystems of organisms. An ecosystem of organisms is any group of living or nonliving things that interact with each other. Another way to look at it is that a community with its abiotic factors. Abiotic factors are soil, rain, and temperature.

Environment And Sustainable Development

People continuously impact the environment. Sustainable development is the method of improving the results of that impact. The goal of it is to meet all the needs of humans but at the same time still preserving and maintaining the Earth. The goal is to hold on to the ability to provide for the needs of humans not just right now, but also in the future. The most common definition of sustainable development comes from the Brundtland Commission. Sustainable development is, according to this commission, development that, “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

Atmosphere Hydrosphere Cryosphere And Biosphere

The earth has been changing temperature since the beginning of time. Global climate change is the reflection of the differences of average temperature as the earth heats up or cools down over time. Global climate change is not a localized phenomenon, nor is it the rapid changes we see in seasons or short periods such as days. These quick changes are called temperature changes. Climate is a more stable concept that changes gradually over thousands of years.

Real Problem Of Our Environment

Our environment is a fragile ecosystem. Everything around it affects everything else. Man, in all of his infinite wisdom has helped to develop the world into a wonderful place to live. And, yet, at the same time, has caused many problems and destroyed much of what was once considered perfect. Understanding the real problems with our environment can help you to see the real decisions you have to make. For most people, making these changes is simple and it can change the outlook of the earth for our future descendents.

Beauty of Nature Photography

One of the best ways to appreciate the many different aspects of nature’s beauty is through nature photography. Talented amateur and professional photographers seek to bring their subject to life for the viewer with their nature photography. No two nature photographers have exactly the same style. Nor do they capture the same images. That is to the benefit of people who enjoy nature photography. This earth has so many different breathtaking landscapes and awe inspiring animals that it would be impossible to see them all in one lifetime. Nature photographers allow us to glimpse a piece of the earth or an animal that we would not otherwise see. Photographers such as Adams and Lanting allow us to marvel at the beauty of their art and learn about different places because of their remarkable skill in nature photography.

Global Warming Solutions

The United States is the largest producer of greenhouse gas emissions in the world. Morally that means that the public and private sectors including all citizens should participate in finding global warming solutions. We have most of the technology at hand, with other technology in the research and the developmental stage but we do need to adopt these global warming solutions before it is too late.

Ecology Projects

Ecology projects are a fantastic way to teach environmental protection topics to children, of all ages. Projects like this are not just for Earth Day celebrations, but for all sorts of events, including just a simple science class. As you consider how to teach a concept to a child, whether at school or in your home, be sure to consider the types of projects that will most show the topic based on the age of the child. The more interesting and hands on the project is for the child, the better off they will be in learning the concept.

Climate Change On Asia

The International Panel on Climate Change has issued the warning that the effects of climate on Asia and Africa will be felt the hardest. Within the next few decades these climate changes will have serious consequences. Executive director of the United Nations Environment Program, Achim Steiner says, the effects of climate change on Asia are, “too alarming to contemplate.” He goes on to say, “Unchecked climate change will be an environmental and economic catastrophe, but above all it will be a human tragedy. It is absolutely vital that international action is taken now to avoid dangerous climate change.”

Four Forces of Nature

When we think of a force of nature, many of us automatically picture a spectacular storm. This image is quite valid considering the magnitude of the subject. Four forces of nature interact to make the world a dynamic place. These elements are not tangible, making them a great source of interest. Some may consider a force of nature to be synonymous with magic. In some ways, it is.

Importance Of Ecology

The definition of ecology can be described as the science that studies the relationship that exists between organisms and the environment they live in. Every organism affects the environment and scientists need to learn all they can about all life forms to benefit the world in a positive way. The definition of ecology is often referred to as bionomics when it involves organisms and the environment.

Common Causes Of Global Warming

There are many people that believe that humans are the single most cause of global warming. Scientists have been warning us for decades that we are recklessly destroying our world and not leaving much of a legacy for our descendants. When humans are the cause of global warming through different activities, these causes are said to be anthropogenic causes.

Water Conservation

Life is so much easier when it is uncomplicated. Many of our natural resources are at risk and the environment is suffering because of our carelessness. We can do our part by going back to nature in certain aspects of our lives. Little changes can make a big difference. Going back to nature is a great way to simplify your life. There are many options to consider and many different subjects that are affected by nature.

Global Dimming

Most scientists agree that humans are the reason for this present situation. Though the earth normally goes through climate change and global warming or cooler cycles, this phenomena occurs over many thousands of years, the fact that we are seeing rapid changes in our atmosphere (air) biosphere, (ecosystems), hydrosphere, (water) and cryosphere (ice and glaciers) points to anthropogenic involvement (intervention by humankind).

A Glance At Global Warming Graphs

Global warming graphs and charts are part of a statistical package to chart and visualize weather patterns, climatic changes, levels of pollution due to green house gas emissions, areas that are hardest hit by carbon dioxide emissions, sectors that need more development in the fight on global warming or have helped significantly to control and diminish the problem and more. In other words global warming graphs are part of the tools for assessment in the fight against global warming ranging from the simplest graph to the most complicated computer software technology.
